ISCA Technical Papers & Films Limited: Terms of Business 1) Tolerances. Tolerances of converted materials shall be in accordance with those laid down in BS3429 (1984) “Sizes of drawing sheets”, a copy of which is available on request.
2) “Join & fault free.” If is essential for fully automatous operations that rolls contain no joins or test tearouts, orders should be endorsed “Join & fault free”, otherwise joins may occur.
3) Upgrade or re-formulation. In our ongoing search for improvement we reserve the right to re-formulate or upgrade any of our products without notice.
4) Non standard product sizes. Rolls & sheets of dimensions other than those listed are available to order, quotations upon request. To keep prices to a minimum, non-standard sizes will not necessarily be charged at the next standard size up, but will be calculated on production from the most economic deckle available.
5) Narrow width, non-standard rolls. If slit down from a wider reel, we require that the minimum quantity is the number slit from the deckle of the parent reel & orders should be for a multiple of that number. A slitting charge will be applied in such instances.
6) Cores. Where large size rolls for automatic feed machines are required, core sizes must be stipulated. We produce free from core as standard. If the paper is to be attached to the core, this must also be stipulated.
7) Non standard size goods. Where goods have been ordered verbally by phone, by fax or in writing and the goods are deemed to be not part of our standard price list, or are produced to a specific winding “IN or OUT” or a specific size of sheets or rolls at the customer request, these goods are produced as “Specials” & are not returnable.
8) Despatch. ( to mainland G.B.) Every endeavour will be made to despatch orders for standard products within two working days of receipt of order, but this is subject to availability of base stocks and other factors. No guarantee of such despatch is implied.
9) Delivery & small order charges. Orders of £100.00 value or greater, for delivery in one consignment to one address, will be delivered free of charge on a next day delivery service from date of despatch Smaller orders under £100.00 and over £50.00 will incur a carriage charge of £10.00. Orders under £50.00 will be charged an additional £5.00 small order charge.
10)Damaged goods. Should damaged goods be offered by the carrier it is imperative that the recipient does not give a signature for “Goods received in good condition.” The signatory should indicate very clearly that the goods were “Received damaged” or “Unchecked”. No claim for goods received damaged shall be entertained unless such a claim is notified within two days of receipt..
11) Incorrect or faulty goods. Where goods are wrongly delivered or are not supplied to specification by virtue of being proven to be faulty such goods will be replaced free of charge. Our liability shall not extend beyond such replacement.
12) Return of goods. In instances where the return of goods has been agreed please ascertain that they are sufficiently well packed to ensure safe arrival in our stores. Credits will only be issued against goods received in a good resellable condition. A handling charge and a charge to cover the cost of transport will be levied.
13) Prices. All prices are expressed in Pounds Sterling and exclude vat.
14) Published prices. Whilst every endeavour will be made to keep to the prices shown in our price guide we reserve the right to alter the prices without notice.
15) Settlement of accounts. Settlement terms are strictly net monthly or as indicated on the invoice. We reserve the right to charge interest at 3% over HSBC PLC base lending rate on any sums outstanding from the due date until full payment is received.
16) Title retention. Goods remain the property of Isca Technical Papers & Films Ltd until payment for the same is made in full. The goods are held by the buyer as bailee for Isca Technical Papers & Films Ltd. Such goods are at the sole risk of the customer after delivery and in the event of loss or damage thereafter, Isca Technical papers & Films Ltd will be entitled to payment for the same in full.
17) Debt recovery. We reserve the right to charge expenditure incurred by ourselves or any agency in pursuance of debt recovery.
18) Jurisdiction. These conditions shall be subject to and construed in accordance with English Law and the buyer shall submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
19) Exports. All prices for export are quoted “Ex Works”.
20) Alteration. We reserve the right to alter any or all of these Terms of Business at any time.
